A little about me…

My name is Tara Koch! I’m an ADHD Coach, a wife, and a mother of five amazing children!

For most of my adult life, I have had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom. For a few years, I worked part-time as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. And from the time I graduated high school, I was a college student -on and off- until I finally graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2018. (It took just over ten years, but I did it!)

As a stay-at-home mom with a part-time job and online college, my life lacked structure. I didn't realize how much that contributed to my struggles until I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2019. For 12 years of adulthood, I felt like I was floundering. But since my diagnosis, I've been able to make significant improvements in my life. Working with an ADHD coach has made my efforts even more effective!

I understand firsthand the challenges of creating your own structure, especially as a mom. And I've experienced the power of coaching in my own life. That's why I decided to become a coach and help others in similar situations. In 2020, I completed training from the ADD Coach Academy to become an ADHD coach.

My passion lies in helping people identify their roadblocks and leverage their existing strengths to achieve their goals. With my insight and guidance, you will be empowered to create a life you love.

Random Things About Me

I grew up in Iowa, lived in South Carolina for two years during high school. As an adult I have lived in Nebraska, Texas, Georgia, back to Iowa, Kentucky and now we’re back in Iowa for good!

My husband and I have been married since 2007. I was only 19 when we got married! We have four daughters between the ages of 5 and 14, and one son born in 2022.

I love animals! We have three dogs, one cat, a parakeet, and a hamster. I would have a whole petting zoo, if I could! And we recently began fostering cats and kittens.

I love exercise and yoga, although I sometimes find it hard to keep up the habit. The times in my life that I was doing the best mentally, were the times where I exercised regularly.
